A man suspected of fatally stabbing a 30-year-old woman in a car in Takasaki, Gunma Prefecture, on Sunday night, has been found dead in a hotel room in Matsudo, Chiba Prefecture, police said Tuesday.

Police said the 36-year-old man, whose name has not yet been released, apparently committed suicide, Sankei Shimbun reported. His body was found on Monday afternoon. The man was being sought in connection with the murder of Kanako Osawa from Niigata City.

A passerby saw Osawa’s body sprawled in the driver's seat of a rental car near JR Takasaki Station at around 7:30 p.m. Sunday and called 110. Osawa was taken to hospital where she was pronounced dead about one hour later due to loss of blood from at least six knife wounds. No knife was found in the car.

A few hours earlier, a witness had seen a man in a suit and Osawa having a heated argument in the car which was parked under elevated tracks about 300 meters from the east exit of Takasaki Station.

Police said Osawa and the man, who is married and has two children, had been in a relationship after meeting at their workplace and that Osawa had consulted Niigata police four times since June about trouble she was having with him and that he had assaulted her at a hotel.

The man, who lives in Matsudo, returned home at around 10 p.m Sunday. His wife told police he went out again and didn't return.

Poor victim and her family...

Poor wife and kids...

As for the man himself, what a pathetic loser. You won't be missed.

FOUR times she consulted with police and they still failed to provide her protection from this guy, blood is now on their hands.

So, he was having an affair with her and beating on her. She obviously wanted to break of his bit on the side, so he went nuts and killed her. After that he took the coward’s exit and killed himself leaving his two kids without a father. What a class act this loser is, NOT!

Right. But in this case, there is no possible addition information that could put the murderer into a better light. None.

I've lived all around the area (Chiba, Kanagawa, Tokyo).

This has happened everywhere I've lived.

Her going to the police four times takes away any likelihood that she was extorting him or blackmailing him over their office affair.

While his name hasn't been released yet, it will be. Soon. And surely he will leave his family destitute, as they will suffer in shame and ridicule, and Ms. Osawa's family will sue them for every yen in his estate. This loser harmed so many people with his crime.

It appears that the guy rented the car, and they drove to another prefecture together. If she made the choice to get into the car with him, how were the police responsible? The same source says four reports to the police in June, not since June. Is it possible they were still in a relationship?

Ms Osawa shouldn't have agreed to meet this loser alone and she definitely shouldn't have hopped into a rental car with him. Even if she wanted to meet, it should have been in a public place with someone else with her. May her soul rest in peace. The man is a pathetic act and very selfish individual. Already married with kids, you don't indulge in this stupid act and leave your kids fatherless.

@AdamP75, the police aren't personal bodyguards. They cant do nothing until they had proof he broke the law. At best they could pay him a visit and give him a warning. He is protected by his rights as a citizens and cops can't touch them even if they want too. Cops aren't allow to play favorites and had to take both sides into accounts. And if the police had to play couple counseling every time someone reported something, then they would be running 24/7 everyday nonstop. Who would expect him to kill her anyway and then commit suicide? Don't blame the police for everything. She should not have get involve with a married man.

Plus we don't even know what happen between them. For all we know she was blackmailing him with the affair and causing him to break. Don't judge the police every time when things goes wrong. Too bias.

We don't know what happen between these two, so all we can do is pray for them and hope the families effected by this will recover.
