Good! I also believe that anyone who tests positive and breaks quarantine, and infects others, should be charged as well!

Another nut job walking around without supervision. Should be locked up before he does something more insidious

don't really understand the justice system.
if you show remorse can you get away with anything?
no need to plan a perfect crime, just prepare your apologizing skills.

Corona sure brings out the crazy in people. Lots of these cases unfortunately. Worst case I’ve heard so far was a woman in Norway who spat a random baby in its mouth while saying “Corona Corona”.

it is going too far. so now he is going to infest prison...
*obstructing business*, the new excuse to get holidays...

Another one goes nuts.

The word should be 'scare the workers'. Was it a drunken prank?

I would rather someone tell me they have the virus than they know they have it but spread it around. Even if they are crazy.

I can kind of see the suspended sentence with this one. Hopefully he realizes how stupid his "surprise" was and thinks twice next time.

"showing remorse" is like a silver bullet..... just like in school, remember? apologize, act humble, promise not to do it again, stroke the teacher's ego till he lets you off..... sheesh....

Jiji Xx, didn’t work in my school, they caned you anyway!

Have him do community service - like scrubbing down the town hall
Mark
sen him NOT to jail but to mental health clinic.
thepersoniamnow
Well all in all, its kinda harsh to lock someone up in proper jail for that.
18 months is a very long time.
Since he is more than likely an utter idiot, rather than a malicious evil person...it is good that he doesn’t go to jail, simply that it could ruin his life and the crime doesnt fit the punishment.

Inducing panic is a crime. He got off with a wrist slap.

A suspended sentence is not enough, he should have done some time.
The employees, visitors at the town hall must have gone through hell till they found out that this nut wasn't infected.

What happens if you go in to a town hall and scream im have EBOLA?? They be like whats that? Anyhow screaming that you have corono virus in public is like calling in an empty bomb threat without actual expolsive device to get attention and terrifying the public.
starpunk
Screaming 'FIRE!' in a crowded theater or saying 'hijack' or 'bomb' on a jet airliner.
