According to police, Hiroyuki Imamizu and Yoko Nakahata, who live together, have admitted to the charge, Fuji TV reported.
Police said the couple used an awl to puncture tires on more than 180 cars parked in residential areas between Oct 29 and Nov 12.

Why?? Go play video games or get some comic books at the library if you have that much time on your hands.

For some people tyres are a threat. Must be deflated aggressively. Guess this couple felt a particular need to vandalise other people's property together...a strange fetish.

They must have been thoroughly tired when they finished.

There’s nothing more deflating than getting caught releasing gas.

No excuse for this kind of behaviour. That seriously inconveniences people and in some instances could great difficulty (Ex. Taking an elderly person to the doctors) These 2 twonks should be locally named and shamed. And then do a heap load of community service. They have a lot of free time after all.

I did that once, and it was actually a mistake ( and I was drunk ); so if I did that in Japan, that would have made it o.k. ; yes ?

Back in the day I've had my car scratched bad at a parking lot, and had my bike vandalized, and my scooter brake cable cut and caught a bum going through my bike basket. And had my apt service light smashed.

Aggravating! So if the victims make an insurance claim. Their monthly rate goes up. Or it is down to Yellow Hat for new tires out of pocket. No money either, cause no jobs? 1000 hours at tire recycling center with 12 hour shifts If I was on the bench!
