Hold the mayo: Police nab man for throwing mayonnaise at schoolgirls in Sapporo

Police in Sapporo said Friday they have arrested a man on suspicion of throwing mayonnaise at female students in a series of incidents this year.

According to police, the suspect, who was identified as Takeshi Furusawa, 32, was apprehended on the platform at Miyanozawa subway station on Thursday night. Police said he was stopped and questioned because he resembled a description of the assailant given by several witnesses earlier in the year, NTV reported.

Furusawa is suspected of throwing mayonnaise at schoolgirls at various stations since April. Police said there have been eight such cases reported, in which an unknown man came up behind schoolgirls and threw mayonnaise at their backs. In all cases, the girls were wearing their school uniforms. Six of the assaults occurred near the Nishi 28-chome subway station, police said, according to NTV.

Furusawa has confessed to throwing the mayonnaise, police said. He was quoted as saying he wanted to make the uniforms dirty.

At least it was not ketchup... It's so difficult to remove ketchup stains...

Today some young kids scared the crap out off me by kicking over some traffic cones outside my house. Not knowing what the noise was I went outside and saw the cones kicked over and 2 young boys running away. I shouted at them ' Hey!' and they ran away. My wife came downstairs and was very scared that I had shouted at them. 'Please next time call the police! You never know what strange people are out there and what they will come back and do!'

Yes, she was right. They might come back and throw mayonnaise to you. :)

This guy sounds like a real catch. Mr. Perfect... Practically Prince Charming.

They've amended the headline, I'm sure they refered to him as a 'tosser' earlier (a more apt description meethinks).

Wonders how he will be charged? You would think the police have better things to do with their time. Littering? He has to pay the cleaning bill? The penalty have him clean the station with a toothbrush. This story is just too weird.

Wow... yeah we got our pervs in the US, but I've never heard of one that attacked with mayo (some might do strange things to sandwiches though...). What gets me is these kinds of peoples ages. 20s, 30s,all the way into the 50s... what does it take to go mentally sick like that?

I think that the headline throwing should have been squirting mayonnaise and was it the Japanese Kyupi brand

Photoman:

" Am I the only one who wonders how you throw mayonnaise? Does it take a lot of practice? "

The demonstratioin on TV news showed him squirting it at them out of these plastic tubes that mayo is sold in here. Very weird fetish.

He wanted to make the uniforms dirty with mayonnaise but maybe he was imagining the mayonnaise as something as guy's white fluids. Perhaps too much manga.

After his arrest he was ordered to get a mental evaluation. He was sent to the Mayo Clinic.

Well, I suppose it does show some imagination, but just how distorted his imagination is remains to be exposed.

You'd expect something like this on that canceled adult cartoon Gintama

Must be disappointing for his parents.

He obviously didn't want to leave his DNA by using mayonnaise instead of making an unauthorized deposit of sperm.

Classy!

He refused to hold the mayo.

Glad they busted the creep.

they should have brought a sandwich

Oh God, that's funny. I shouldn't laugh, I really shouldn't.

With a little luck his prison uniform will be similarly "soiled".

Another news story (Japanese) quotes him as explaining his actions to the police as follows:「制服を汚して快感を得たかった」... I understand this to mean he "gets off" on making their uniforms dirty. Doesn't seem like he dislikes uniforms after all...

I love the excuses these guys give...classic

Hot!

There is something amiss with the headline.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

There is an urban legend about throwing mayonnaise to make someone think it was sperm.

The facts seem similar here. They need to put this guy away. He probably has other deviant and more harmful ideas he wants to act on.

"Miyanozawa (station)". He's dyslexic and wanted to upset the "wa": Mayo in za wa

-5 ( +4 / -9 )

Yeah right, it's more likely he LOVES school uniforms and wants to make them dirty.
