More than 200 stolen items of women's underwear found in man's apartment

Police in Kawasaki, Kanagawa Prefecture, have arrested a 31-year-old company employee on suspicion of stealing women's underwear.

According to police, the suspect, Tomohiro Honma, has initially been charged with stealing 12 items of women's underwear in January from the first-floor balcony of an apartment in Takatsu Ward, where they had been drying on a clothesline, Sankei Shimbun reported.

Honma has admitted stealing women's underwear on at least 50 occasions, police said. A search of his apartment turned up more than 200 stolen bras and panties. Police said Honma told them he got sexually excited by women's underwear.

Procure some by other means, dummy!

31-year-old company employee

Correction: ex-employee. Not too old to join the cops, though.

i'd rather have this guy steal knickers than doing worse deeds to women. a suspended sentence should set him straight.

Haha i love those stories of Japanese Arsene Lupin aka "Gentleman & deviant thief".

he got sexually excited by women’s underwear.

Same here buddy, doesn't mean we men have carte blanche for stealing their undies! The poor bloke probably doesn't have the balls to ask a woman out for coffee yet he risks his life and reputation climbing on balconies. Go figure.

Even if he does do some time it will be brief and he'll be the butt of all joke. Oh bra what did you do....

Arrested for improper disposal of a bodice.

200 are too few. Usually, there are many more. I think less than a thousand is too mundane for a headline about Japan. Must be a slow news day.

Yet one passenger on the sick puppy go-round. I honestly can't get enough of these stories...

Why do women hang underwear out in public in 2016?

Why shouldn't they? It's 2016, after all.

"Kawasaki, Kanagawa Prefecture" "stealing" "women’s underwear" from "balcony"(s) Creepy....

PS: my 'doesn't have the balls to ask a woman out for coffee' was too strong/inappropriate. Meant he was probably too shy/nervous to ask women out (we've all been there) yet had the 'nerve' to steal undies.

Nothing to do with having the balls or not, sorry.

What a crazy way to be aroused!

Why do women hang underwear out in public in 2016? As for this guy, with as many "wet establishments" there are in Japan, he could go buy some off a worker and satisfy his urges without the risk of going to jail and now no longer being a "company employee."

Police said Honma told them he got sexually excited by women’s underwear.

cause they couldn't figure it out by themselves...

yer he is in a "tight" spot for sure.

Why not just buy them on the Internet? This is a violation of private space and it is sick--some commenters here are not taking it seriously.

I believe what he was getting at people is why are you hanging your clothes its 2016 shouldn't everyone have a dryer by now?

Why shouldn't they? It's 2016, after all.

Some people are of the belief that if there is any possible chance of a bad outcome to an action, then the action should never be done by anyone, anywhere, ever.

I wonder if there are women thieves who target men and steal their underwear. The fact I can imagine it suggests that there are, but they have yet to be caught?
