why not? the general public have ostrich syndrome and they have zero idea that a prostitution gig is going down. Could be dad with daughter and friend, or brother with sister and friend in the general publics mind but they would hardly take notice anyway. Do you walk around intentionally looking for pimps and pedophiles? I don't. If I saw them all in a car park getting their deal together I would thought nothing and kept on my way. You would have to be God to detect anything different.

Better to meet them in the parking lot than meet them by the cliffside bluffs like the guy from a couple of years ago. The toughs in that case kinda forced the guy into jumping to his death.

I think the woman has been doing the business for a living. She arranges to meet the guy and then suddenly brings the young girls and the muggers. Fearing publicity, the man is usually forced to pay the cash in return of not reporting the matter to the police. In most cases, if the man is an employee of a company or some big public servant, he is bound to lose his job if the news is made public. Paying the muggers is always the only way out. In this particular case, the poor man happened to be a mere lad. Ptobably a beardless boy in his 20s who had nothing to offer. I guess this is why the story ended up in the news and the police. Internet dating isn't that bad but I think it is advisable to meet for the first time in a public place like a coffee shop. If the parties involved are of legal age I think there is no reason to hide.

I'm just curious where everyone is getting their information. I didn't read anywhere that this young man had any intentions involving the 15 year old girls. As far as the story goes he was introduced to them and moments later was accosted by several men. It seems that everyone is doing a lot of 'fill-in-the-blanks'. I just don't understand why everyone seems to be focusing in on this aspect of the story when the true crime being committed is left completely unvoiced.

Why was the son arrested? Because he was a friend of the 15-year-olds? I bet the 15-year-olds have lots of friends. Are the police going to arrest all of them?
