Police said Monday that an investigation into the habits of a woman murdered in Misato, Saitama Prefecture, on Oct 19 revealed that the purse she used regularly has not been found and may have been removed from the scene by her murderer.
According to police, Tomoko Yanagisawa, 76, was strangled to death at around 1:30 p.m. last Friday at the home where she lived alone, TV Asahi reported. Police said that one of the windows of her home had been partially smashed, but investigators were not aware her purse was missing until now.

The habits of the woman include having a purse? Isn't that one of the first things that you would look for after a break in? What do these investigators learn at school?

uhhh, i think the key word above is "regularly." like most women, she probably had several purses, and the police saw these. now they know a purse is missing, so it's pretty good police work so far.

I agree with Rickyvee! Now they should search for her bank book, and near-by relatives that needed money.
