A police investigation into the fatal stabbing of a Kobe high school student on Sunday has revealed that his last act was to try to protect his female companion. Police said Monday that Shota Tsutsumi, 16, a second grade high school student, told the girl to escape seconds before being stabbed to death in the street.
According to police, when the girl returned to the scene shortly afterward, she found Tsutsumi bleeding on the ground roughly 70 meters away. The girl claimed the assailant was unknown to her, investigators said. Police are currently hunting for the man, said to be in his 20s, on suspicion of murder.© News reports
