Police in Tokyo said the bodies of three cats were discovered on July 3 in a parking lot in Kita Ward, with their eyes gouged out.
The incident is the latest in a growing number of mutilation cat deaths in three wards of Tokyo since April, Fuji TV reported.
Police believe the possible culprit killed the cats at another location, and then dumped their bodies at the parking lot in Tabata-shinmachi where they were found at around 7 p.m.
The bodies of five decapitated cats have been found in Nerima and Itabashi wards since April. A decapitated pigeon was also left near an apartment complex in Itabashi Ward in late April.© Japan Today
