Mysterious cat mutilations continue in Tokyo

18 Comments

Police in Tokyo said the bodies of three cats were discovered on July 3 in a parking lot in Kita Ward, with their eyes gouged out.

The incident is the latest in a growing number of mutilation cat deaths in three wards of Tokyo since April, Fuji TV reported.

Police believe the possible culprit killed the cats at another location, and then dumped their bodies at the parking lot in Tabata-shinmachi where they were found at around 7 p.m.

The bodies of five decapitated cats have been found in Nerima and Itabashi wards since April. A decapitated pigeon was also left near an apartment complex in Itabashi Ward in late April.

Whoever this is has some serious mental issues, and its just a matter of time before this escalates people.

Scary. Serial killers often have a history of torturing animals early in their "career".

99% chance that the culprit is 無職 and stressed out. Hope they find him as soon as possible.

I dont like cats because the eat the birds and some other scarce wildlife, but II don't think this person has this in mind when carrying out these acts. Hope the person can be found sooner or later.

wildwest - I think the blame is on irresponsible pet owners, not the cats. They are after all, doing the only thing they know how.

We need to get Purrlock Holmes on the case.

mysterious because no one has the sense to check cameras and narrow it down? God knows there are cameras everywhere...

"the bodies of three cats were discovered on July 3 in a parking lot in Kita Ward, with their eyes gouged out."

This is sick.

If this cat killer is a young boy, he knows the courts won't throw the book at him. He'll skate. He will be rehabilitated (after 3-5) and released bck into society.

@Wc

And that's a bad thing?

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

@lucabrasi. Rehabilitation is a made up word. So people employed in the legal / mental health circles can wear their suits and have a job. Only the "cat killer" knows what to become. Hope he isn't no future Hanibal Lector or Jeffrey Dahmer.

@Wc

Nah, people can turn their lives around, and other people can help them. Humans are pretty amazing creatures....

Today it's cats and birds, tomorrow it's people!

A psychopath building up to killing humans.... I hope they catch him before it comes to that.

Who cares if he is 無職. There are plenty of people out of work, but they're not sickos.

Wildwest:

I dont like cats because the eat the birds and some other scarce wildlife,

This is what happens in nature. They're cats - it's part of their nature, unlike humans who kill for fun or some perverted reason.

Like some have said, he is going to do more. This is step one for serial killers in training.
