Police in Osaka said Tuesday they have arrested a 20-year-old construction worker for throwing a can of coffee at a patrol car.
According to police, the incident occurred just after 4 p.m. on Monday. The suspect had been celebrating Coming-of-Age Day, Sports Nippon reported. Police said he was involved in a fight with a friend following the Coming-of-Age ceremony after his friend told him that he had drunk too much.
The two started fighting on the street and when two police cars arrived, the suspect threw a can of coffee at one of them.
Police quoted the suspect, who they said was intoxicated at the time of his arrest, as saying, “Seeing the patrol cars arrive made me angry.”© Japan Today
