Another day, another abandoned baby. There’s a special place in hell for people like this. I don’t wanna hear any kind of post natal stress disorder or a lack of choices crap! This person just put the baby in a train station coin locker! What a pathetic excuse for a human!

Rarely, if ever, do we get the sad stories involved in these terrible deaths. But that won't stop speculation and vitriol.

This is a massive, untold phenomenon in Japan. It deserves to be uncovered, like the equally tragic deaths of infants in Ireland that are still coming to light.

Well, hopefully the security footage will show the person who did this. And before you go all "feel for the person that committed the crime", it would be better if they just dropped the child off at a police station, or hospital or anywhere besides a freaking train station locker to die. Just anyone/anywhere else would do besides this sick garbage.

Probably not 'just' that. Presumably before that, the person gave birth to the baby, and carried it in her body for 9-10 months. I've no idea what that's like, but I gather it's not the same experience for everyone. How was it for you? I'd like to think that special place in hell is prepared by women who have given birth.

You can NOT DUMP your un-wanted, new born baby at the Hospital / Police Box, Fire Station, as you can in disposable baby USA (or other countries). It don't WORK that way in Ni-hon...but there SHOULD BE SOMPLACE these mothers CAN.

I can't believe all the BS sympathy and understanding for someone who killed a newborn but very little at all for the poor victim

It's a given that people are sad for the loss of life. But the vitriol against the mother is hysterical. We have no idea, none, of the circumstances surrounding the pregnancy.

There is still right and wrong. Killing a baby and abandoning it is wrong. Anyone with the sense to know how to use a coin locker would know that.

I have heard a lot of stories from women who gave birth that actually had post partum depression. Worst story was one of them was so convinced she murdered her own baby and she even imagined where and when it happened, she was delusional for a point of time. When she saw her husband carrying their baby she was so shocked and repeatedly said "i know he's dead because I k*lled him" eventually she had gotten better.

My point is, we can all default and say that those mothers who abandoned their baby to die have this kind of problem but do they really have post partum depression? we don't know.

How about taking precautions against unwanted pregnancies so situations like this don't happen.

Gruesome. I can't fathom how anyone could look at an innocent newborn and strangle it. RIP, young baby.

I can't fathom how someone could invade a mother's body, cut her unborn to shreds, and then vacuum it out.

Hmm, contraceptives. We have so many different kinds of contraceptives there is no excuse. Condoms for both men and women. Contraceptive pills for both men and women... day after pills....

Well let's put a different perspective on this. From a woman's point of view. And NO I am not a woman.

So i readily admit now my thought process on this case maybe a little warped. As I am thoroughly and utterly disgusted.

Woman met man. Woman got pregnant. Woman had to go to the ward office to report the pregnancy. (possibly)

Woman (may) have had to have gone for regular check ups and Nuchal Translucency (NT) scans. .

The woman went through morning sickness and 9 months of carrying the baby in her body. Nine months of mood swings and unbearable levels of non comfort in sitting and sleeping positions. Unless you have no heart. I do not know one single Mother that would not love their baby after the ordeal of it growing and moving in side of you. A life growing inside of you. A young human being.

Then the woman may have had birth in a place other than the baby delivery hospital. Side note. I have seen child birth three times. Each delivery is different. The fact is she did successfully bring a child in the world and delivered. (maybe with no epidermal or spinal tap) Went through the agony of trying to pass basket ball though a golf hole. Then the new Mother strangled or had someone strangled a helpless defenseless young human being. Then Mother with possible accomplice stuffed the young infant in a vinyl bag then into a suitcase. Then disposed of infant. To what? Oh yes, the Kabukicho red-light district in Tokyo’s Shinjuku area. Lets just get right back on the horse after killing our baby! I am sorry I have not one once of feeling for this person. I hope she get's caught then booked and found guilty for murder and sent away. Any accomplices should bear the same fate. What choices did they give that child? Monsters!
