Newborn baby girl dies after being found in dental clinic toilet

A newborn baby girl was found in the toilet at a dental clinic in a building in Tokyo's Minato Ward on Thursday. The baby was taken to hospital where she was confirmed dead, Fuji TV reported.

According to police, at around 8 p.m. on Thursday, one of the employees of the dentist called 110 reporting that an infant was in the women's toilet. Police said the baby was not covered with anything and had apparently been abandoned in the toilet right after being born.

Police believe that an employee of the dentist gave birth to the baby. She went home early and then went to a hospital where she currently is. Police said they will wait until she recovers before questioning her on suspicion of abandoning her baby.

So she threw the baby in a toilet right after birth... Abortion sounds much better than this.

Wait so she throws the baby in the can and then she goes to the doctor and get hospital care!! Very selfish person she should be taken to the prison hospital ward!

Perhaps she should change her promiscuous lifestlye if she's not going to have any regard for human life.

What sort of person would even think of doing such a thing. Where is the motherly instinct to protect your child at all costs???

Crimes like this are not unique to Japan.

Poor little girl. I wish I could hold you in my arms.

"Police said they will wait until she recovers before questioning her on suspicion of abandoning her baby. "

That's it? How about murder?

No, but in other nations there is a lot more motivation to give up a baby that a mother does not want instead of squatting over a toilet to have it and then walking out the door. People STILL protest the idea of baby hatches here, or even if they will allow it insist that cameras be installed so they can find the person who leaves the baby, hunt them down, then try to convince them they were wrong in giving the baby up. So, you have women doing this. THAT part narrows down the number of civilized countries where this happens.
