Police in Tatsuno City, Hyogo Prefecture, have arrested a part-time Asahi Shimbun newspaper delivery man on suspicion of attempted murder after he rammed another man with his car in the parking lot of a pachinko parlor.
According to police, the incident occurred at around 5 p.m. on New Year’s Eve. Police said the suspect, Keigo Yamamoto, 37, allegedly rammed a 27-year-old man after he had walked out of the pachinko parlor, Fuji TV reported.
The victim sustained serious injuries to his back and a fractured hip.
Police said Yamamoto, who did not know the victim, has admitted to the charge and quoted him as saying, “The guy [victim] and I made eye contact inside the pachinko parlor and I felt as though he was looking down on me. It really annoyed me. That’s when I decided to kill him.”© Japan Today
