Police in Tatsuno City, Hyogo Prefecture, have arrested a part-time Asahi Shimbun newspaper delivery man on suspicion of attempted murder after he rammed another man with his car in the parking lot of a pachinko parlor.

According to police, the incident occurred at around 5 p.m. on New Year’s Eve. Police said the suspect, Keigo Yamamoto, 37, allegedly rammed a 27-year-old man after he had walked out of the pachinko parlor, Fuji TV reported.

The victim sustained serious injuries to his back and a fractured hip.

Police said Yamamoto, who did not know the victim, has admitted to the charge and quoted him as saying, “The guy [victim] and I made eye contact inside the pachinko parlor and I felt as though he was looking down on me. It really annoyed me. That’s when I decided to kill him.”

Shenjingbing - Now Japanese using cars as weapons.

I've been living here nearly two decades and there is nothing new about this scenario. It's very often the weapon of choice. I've had direct experience of some nut job trying to run me off the road and then, when I got out he tried to run me over as he fled, like the cowardly POS he really is. Japan is not as safe as the brochures like to promote it to be. There are many angry and delusional little men running around ready to take a cowardly swipe at anyone who peeves them off.
