Newspaper deliveryman killed in hit-and-run

A 41-year-old newspaper deliveryman riding a motor scooter was killed in a hit-and-run incident in Yachiyo city, Chiba Prefecture, police said Monday.

According to police, there incident occurred at around 1:40 a.m. Sunday, Fuji TV reported. A passerby called 119 to report that a man was lying on the road beside his scooter.

Police said the man, Kan Tsuji, was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Broken fragments from a car were found at the scene near the damaged scooter. Police said they are examining street surveillance camera footage to try and identify the vehicle that hit the Tsuji.

Fools should know by now after happening many times before, with street surveillance everywhere you can run but you can't hide.

What’s the bet the driver was drunk too? I know this area pretty well and drink driving is nearly as common as rice fields. On the other hand, I also know these early morning celery drivers are very careless. The combination of two evils resulting in death. Sad!
