saikawa, We good Japanese are very ashamed of u being Japanese, U mistreated yr immediate boss Carlos & Kerry.......................U have done a big shame to all good Japanese moral & human damage., too big for any fair Japanese to swallow. In Japanese, we have a word, ikagen ni shitekudasai. Stop shaming all good Japanese.I want that yr new year being in jail as should be, after all U represent Nissan Japan who is also indicted. This is to be fair to all Nissan share-holders, Nissan employees & all involved with Nissan. U cannot be the only one at home celebrating New Year with yr family. No good Japanese remotely educated will ever rest until U are prosecuted too.I Greg is recovering in some way, now and Carlos be released as soon as 30th of Dec 2018. I wonder , who is in the gang in the prosecutors office with saikawa ??? Wasting tax payers money & time ???.

Squirming away, like snakes do best.

continue with their dirty trick. this saikawa acted as he is a dictator and nissan go along with it.

hopeless corrupted company, should boycott all nissan products.

If Nissan's claims were true they would have no problem with anyone talking to anyone was the truth would be obvious and they would have strong evidence

4 ( +5 / -1 )

Just fear, if you talk you will be terminated. Ghosn and Kelly probably had a better relationship with the workers than that scumbag Saikawa.

More obstruction of justice from Nissan and Saikawa

Saikawa had better remember that 'revenge is a dish best served cold', and it was credited to a Frenchman!

Nissan poor corporate governance practices pre date Carlos Ghosn helm.

The Renault Group have clear ethics and remuneration guidelines..........

https://group.renault.com/en/finance-2/corporate-governance/special-committees/

Carlos Ghosn follwed these rules and practices simply because there are checks and balances.

This farce is the very definition corporate/boardroom coup.

When the dust settles Renault will still have 43% stake in Nissan, the French government will own 15% of Renault and Nissan a non-voting 15% stake in Renault,

However, what goes around, comes around and the Nissan board and Japan Government best remember that.

Amazing. More bullying culture. Vinarius, above, has it spot on.And again, where are the foreign Nissan lovers and Japanese Nissan lovers to criticize Vinarius' post? They criticize all foreigner's posts. !?!

If people really wanted to give Nissan crap, for the small price of 90,000 yen, they could buy 100 shares and then participate in the next shareholder meeting. There, one could heckle Nissan management as much as they like. Afterward, just sell the stock. Actually, just own the stock until the date necessary to receive an invitation passes and you can still go even after selling the stock.

I'm quite sure that the company can only "request" and cannot enforce such a rule. But if Saikawa and his cronies in crime remain in power I daresay it's likely that employees found contacting those two will be "overlooked" for future promotions.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

Does it include the employees of Sunderland and Tennessee ?

Notice that the Prosecutors did in fact request ten more days.

Notice that Nissan (Japan) still reject a shareholder meeting.

Interesting! Does this mean Kelly was denied medical care during his incarceration? It seems odd that he is going into hospital for treatment straight after his release.

Im pretty sure Kelly doesn’t want to talk with Nissan staff anyway. However, the international media are gonna have a field day and blow this whole scandal wide open.

Prohibiting people from freedom of speech is against any DEMOCRACY

This is typical of bad Japanese style , threaten with power, saikawa is very afraid that if all the bone comes out of the Nissan closet, he will be given the rope to hang himself. We good Japanese view saikawa with deep shame. We have seen many things that is unfair but never a Japanese this rotten like saikawa. I was told that this is bad Kyoto style , is saikawa from Kyoto ???.People from that part of Japan will do anything selfishly to get just what they want. There is no law that employees of Nissan cannot meet with Kerry or Carlos. It is just saikawa fear and his action , top down. Now, pls tell me again, Who is the bully and back-stabber here ???. All good Japanese are very ashamed of him and Nissan inc. Pls fight till all the truth comes out in public. Nissan as a Japanese entity should have known better, the world is boycotting yr shares and yr products.

"The employees were asked to immediately report to the company if they are contacted by the parties"

This is very suspicious, and should not even be legal. Nissan obviously wants to find out who has information that will help Kelly or Ghosn, and then silence them. What the hell is going on with this company??

9 ( +11 / -2 )

I doubt if anyone would be allowed to see Ghosn anyway. And it's unlikely that any employee would be allowed into Kelly's hospital room. But if I wonder what Kelly will do if he can get his hands on a computer and start emailing, though I think he should let his lawyer issue statements on his behalf.

Think abortary detention with no charge, and extended again and again would certainly be enough to deter anyone getting involved. Stay at your desk say nothing. That would be the safest action. And the Japanese way.

A sure sign that Saikawa & Friends are not protected by the facts of the case.

They need to shut down communication because it could undermine their position.

It's just a prudent course of action for any company that's facing criminal charges. The easiest way to destroy your own credibility is to contact a co-defendant prior to trial. It would needlessly call into question any consistencies between Nissan, Ghosn's and Kelly's stories.

Asked or instructed?  And why not?  Cover up in plain sight?

Nissan CEO Hiroto Saikawa told reporters the contact ban was introduced as the automaker's employees are "unsettled," but refrained from elaborating on the measure believed to have been announced through an internal document.

The company prohibited workers from communicating with Ghosn, Kelly and their lawyers and ordered them not to respond even if they are contacted. The employees were asked to immediately report to the company if they are contacted by the parties, the sources said.

A sure sign that Saikawa & Friends are not protected by the facts of the case.

They need to shut down communication because it could undermine their position.

What a sham!!

Financial misconduct? The LDP should be in detention if that's a crime. Voters should not contact them. What a farce. Nissans new management are obviously not aware of a little thing called the Internet. But as they are clueless about proprietary that's no shock.

What a pathetic and disgraceful individual.
