Nursery school employee arrested for child abuse

Police in Tokyo's Kita Ward have arrested a 28-year-old female nursery school employee on suspicion of abusing a 6-year-old boy at the facility earlier this month.

According to police, the suspect, Manami Nanmoku, a teacher at Kids Style Akabane-en, is suspected of tying the boy's hands together and yanking off duct-tape which she had put on the boy's mouth and eyes, on Jan 15, Sankei Shimbun reported.

The boy reported the abuse to his parents who contacted police on Jan 20.

Nanmoku has denied the charge, but police said other staff had seen her hitting and kicking other children before.

Another nutter that needs to be locked away for a long time...If the other staff have seen her hitting and kicking children before why did they not report it or do something about it?So shes been getting away with this for a while by the sounds of it.Very brave little boy for telling his parents and good job of the parents for going to the police.

The whole place is out of line if one so-called teacher abuses children and the others just let it go. Bet this woman was bullying her co-workers too.

More to this story than what is written here I'll bet.

And they only reported this after she was caught?

"a teacher... TYING the boy’s HANDS... and yanking off DUCT-TAPE... put on the boy’s MOUTH and EYES"

Well done to the parents for reporting it!!

All the other care takers should be fired and tried for letting her do it. Idiots.

Do the same to the stupid witch!

And they only reported this after she was caught?

They didn't want to disturb the "Wa" in their work enviornment. "social harmony" in the workplace has its demons.

The question is are nursery schools still hard to enter in Tokyo? If I were a parent of a kid there, I would take them out and put them in a different school for letting this abuse happen. Then again, some parents may not have this option since nursery schools may be hard to enter still.

It needs to be mandatory to have cameras in daycare/nursery facilities.

Maybe there's more going on at that place, and she threatened to rat them out if they told on her.
