Olympus is now backed by both Sumitomo Financial Group (it's original and main bank) and Daiwa Bank (one of Sony's banks), and has auditors from both of these organisations. Can't see this going very far...disturbs the harmony of Japanese banking.

and who's gonna sue the banks over their false finacial statements????

wanderlust -- completely disagree. These are the six banks who got scr*wed by Olympus to begin with, so they don't want any more of their business. They want to get back to even. And the fact that the new banks have auditors does not in any way impact the shenanigans that went on years ago. The banks and the prosecutors have all teh evidence they need, some of it courtesy of Woodford.

Actually you would be better off suing the auditors since they essentially certify the statements.

Make an apology, bow, forget, move on, nothing to see here
