Killing the bill is not enough. Once it's dead a new one will take it's place like a phoenix rising from it's ashes. The ugly behemoth, leviathan, multi tentacle Cephalopod monster known as the E.U also needs to be killed off.

The ACTA bill is mainly being pushed by the USA, not the EU. The USA believes it has the right to extradite people who never set foot in the country and jail them for alleged IP violations, such as linking to a file. If only they could see the irony in calling themselves the "land of the free".

More paranoia on all sides. It will take a few years before the debate settles into something reasonable, then a good law can be passed.
