Police said Wednesday they have arrested a 27-year-old unemployed man in Neyagawa, Osaka, for allegedly abusing his young daughter for over three months.

According to police, the suspect, identified as Yuji Miyasato, was charged Tuesday with inflicting bodily harm on his daughter, now aged one, from March to June of last year. TBS quoted police as saying that Miyasato has confessed to the charge, saying: "My wife would leave the house and the baby just wouldn't stop crying. Sometimes I hit her head with the milk bottle, and from time to time, I'd throw her onto her bed."

The girl was severely injured, having sustained cerebral contusions, and deteriorated eyesight, police said.

Police are also questioning Miyasato's 36-year-old wife.

Once Japanese children can survive their parents, they can survive anything.

Change 'Japanese' to whatever country you are from, and it would be just as accurate. This is not a Japanese thing, it's a human problem. Most Japanese parents are caring, loving parents who never hit their kids.

It's stories like these that make me wish people needed licenses to have kids, just like how you need a license to drive

Home sweet home? Kids are being burned, beaten, raped, stabbed, starved and strangled, usually at the hands of parents who say they love them.

Simple equation to happier lifestyle?

Feeling depressed, held back, unappreciated or stressed out? Find someone weaker than yourself, and abuse, rape, or bully.

Too many of these stories. Sigh :(

Yep! You need to pass a test and become certified to drive a car, but all you need to be a parent is a bottle of wine and a live hotel room. It's very saddening that so many young parents lose touch with the reality of the responsibility of being a parent and abuse kids because of their own emotional immaturity.

What is with these people have some empathy, crying is what babies do, the means you are doing something wrong!

i hope he gets the same treatment in prison, constant crying can push you to the limits, but you can walk away.

The idiot knows how to make child but unfortunately he does not know how to love and care his own child. He should be lockup for at least 3 years and never let him see her daughter.

In Japan child abuse and child custody, child care what is wrong with the word child in a country that neglects it. IF a child is abused they send him or her back to the home, in divorce the wife gets the child not both parents, child care no such thing unless you are elite. Doesn't surprise me while the "child" is over looked because you have children taking care or should I say abusing children. You have a society of nutters who has never grown up!
