Osaka restaurant employee arrested over murder of Hyogo couple

Hyogo prefectural police have arrested a man in Nishinomiya over the murders of a married couple last November. The man has been identified as 35-year-old restaurant employee Noriyuki Miyake from Sakai. Miyake is accused of stabbing and killing architect Minoru Mizuta, 62, and his wife Teruko, 62, at the Japanese-style drinking establishment at which he works.

Police believe that another Osaka man had borrowed a large sum of money from Teruko. Just before police could question the man over the disappearance of the couple, he committed suicide. Police are still investigating the circumstances that led up to the double murder.

63 at last count.

This happened last year. I guess they just recently got enough evidence to arrest the guy. Never lend money to anyone. It creates too many problems down the road when (as happened to me a few times in my younger days) the person comes back with some lame story of why they can't pay or just plain disappears. RIP to the deceased.

Stuff like this makes me think "What a wonderful world...". I haven't been reading the news for but 5 minutes and I already came across 3 murder stories. Its terrible and ridiculous. But, I guess thats just how the world works... :"(
