Body parts found in Kawasaki apartment

Police said Wednesday that parts of a human body have been found at an apartment in Kawasaki, Kanagawa Prefecture.

Police said they received a call from a man last Monday night, reporting that his sister had not been in touch with him since Saturday. The woman, 43-year-old Toshie Tsukahara, lived there with her 19-year-old son, who had also not been heard from for a few days.

Fuji TV reported that police visited the apartment in Miyamae Ward at about 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday and found a right human foot inside a plastic bag. A left leg and the severed head of a woman were found in a bag in another room. A blood-stained kitchen knife was also found, police were quoted as saying.

Police said that Tsukahara had been missing from work since last Sunday, while her son contacted his employer on Saturday to say that he was not feeling well and would be taking some time off. The boy's current whereabouts are unknown.

"get a job" are dangerous words!

I hope I'm not the only one who's noticed that about 80% of murdering are within the immediate family. That really says a lot about the clashing of the generations.

These things happen in cycles. In 1994, there was a spate of bara-bara killings that went on for months.

Sounds like a good episode for Unbelievable.

I am really disturbed how somebody can do this to somebody..unfortunately the son does sound suspicious..and if it was not him then I hope he is ok.

Ewan our family doesn't go that long without contacting each other. My mother in law sees me twice a week and my father in law on the weekends we live very close to them, sister in law calls mother every week, father in law sees his brother every day as they work together and my mother in law visits her mother once a week to help her with things that need to be done. Not all Japanese families are disconnected from each other.

@ DudeDeuce; I'll take that BET...I walked right through DOWNTOWN ' JacknKill ' Florida, in the 80`s (height of CRACK Craze) at about 1-2am...NOBODY screwed with me, one guy even said HELLO....of course I was carrying a .50 AMMO can, in running shorts and a mesh tank top, so they ALL thought I was INSANE, quite likely..

Oh my God, this is really disturbing. I do feel sorry for the police officers who were the first on the scene to discover this gruesome sight. Better find the son quick, if he is still alive.

Good grief.

I dare say a familiar scenario will unfold here. Mother scolds child, child attacks mother, kills her, tries to dispose of the body (unsuccessfully), then kills himself. He is probably hanging from a tree in a forest nearby.

Wonder where the 4 litres of blood that is usually in the body went to? It's a really messy business outside of a mortuary.

Is this another case of familial 'kireru' triggered by some argument?

They probably didn't release the mans name because his sister was using a different surname. S Many families keep in touch everyday. We don't know the woman's marriage status and it could well be that she was a single mother as they made no mention of a husband. This could explain why her brother was in continuous contact.

1+1=2. Son calls in sick and takes time off. Brother doesn't hear from sister from the same day son calls in. Son is missing. Sounds like another teenager cracked up and tried to cover up his mistake. What does anyone think his excuse will be for it ..??? Video games ? No money allowance ?? just "felt" like doing it ? Lost his temper ??

Poor woman RIP! What a terrible way to go. I can imagine the trauma of the first policemen who went inside! We don't know the details but sounds like a family dispute!

So this chap hadn't heard from his sister in two days, and called the police, who conveniently found some body parts. I think the brother is suspicious ...... this is Japan, family members usually go weeks without contacting one another.

Can't imagine how someone could get angry enough to butcher another family member.

This is disturbing. Cutting parts up and putting them into plastic bags? This is something you would see in a horror film. I suppose he/she was going to freeze the parts then get rid of them? I don't want to point the finger but the son sounds suspect. After all he called in sick right?

Japan is really losing it now....Can't imagine how someone could get angry enough to butcher another human being.
