Dont think that are being pandered to much. It's great that there are people willing to spend time to provide advice, listen and perhaps change these girls lives for the better. Hope can be hard to come by when you have none.

No doubt there are naughty teen girls hanging around entertainment districts who don't have problems at home. These girls might need some tough love discipline from thier parents or police. But, as the article states, there are those whose home situation is difficult for them and they could do with a listening ear, support and guidance.

From the picture it seems kind of shady, a pink bus that just calls random girls in for free food? I'd think most of them would assume it was a fuzoku recruitment service or something like that, although maybe from another angle it's much clearer what the objective of the bus is. Either way it's good to have these kinds of services and make it appealing for the target market as I'd imagine most people are too scared or ashamed to seek out and visit these kind of crisis centers on their own.

Woulda, shoulda, coulda. These girls should be in nice homes where they don't get out on the street. After that 'should' is gone, there are no more. The only place the should be is at home. If they aren't there, then there isn't a place where they 'should' be. Shibuya, with friends and support is as good a place as any.

You're a special kind of stupid aren't you. You do realize that all the places that offer stuff to do for these girls who can't go home until the wee hours of the morning are red light districts. Those are pretty much the only places that have businesses open after 12am. And how do you suppose they go anywhere else when the trains stop running? Try being a bit more sympathetic, the people around you will surely appreciate it.

Certainly better than leaving it to the government, who would spend 100 times more and probably make the problem worse. Volunteers are exactly who should be doing this, instead of the usual "let the government do something."

You never seem to get actual statistics in Japan and no one seems to be talking about them. You get the numbers behind benign things like old people shoplifting and foreigners caught doing something. Members of civic group Colabo are on hand to offer advice to the girls.

That's great that this group made a step forward to help those less fortunate. At least there is hope available to those girls. It is also great that someone decided to try something that worked somewhere else might work in Japan. I sure hope this succeeds.

This is a good thing that Yumeno Nito started ... Good Luck with the program and I do hope it helps many of the young women who are troubled.
