Police officer busted for filming up woman's skirt

A police officer in Himeji, Hyogo Prefecture, has been arrested for using his smartphone to film up a woman's skirt, prefectural police said Saturday.

According to police, the officer, identified as Kazunori Komoto, 29, approached the 41-year-woman from behind as she was shopping in a retail outlet at around 6 p.m. Friday.

The woman noticed Komoto and chased him out of the store, Livedoor News reported. A passerby grabbed Komoto and held him until police were called.

Komoto was quoted by police as saying he wanted to see the woman's underwear.

Is this even news anymore? At least he didn't expose his equipment like the last Jcop.

Remember "arrested" only means he was brought to the police station for questioning. I bet nothing else happens to him.

Ordinarily, such a culprit is detaind at a Police station for one day if they regard him as a guy who won't run away. A policeman who commites a crime is fired or forced to resign. In this case, a minor offence, he will pay a fine, compansate the sufferer and resign.

There are far too many young police officers in Japan having their lives and careers destroyed by the war on up skirt photography. Our prisons are overflowing with non-violent up skirt perverts. I say it's time for Japan to at least decriminalize this activity (/sarcasm)

Start with some witty smalltalk, make a few gags and throw in a compliment or two....

Cop or not, this up-skirt filming is way too common here in Japan. Yeah, it happens all over the world, but I personally have caught four guys doing it at train stations in the last couple of years and I don't use trains very often. The first time I grabbed the guy and I spent more time in the lock up than he did. Now, when I see them I just give them a nudge and a disgusted look and they run away like the little cowards they are. I think they need to set up severe penalties for this offense. It's a perverted invasion of privacy and those who do are sick little boys locked in a man's body. Grow the heck up!

Here we go ago again. Another perverted jcop. Will they ever learn from other's mistakes? Damn lemmings!

He should at least get some points for honesty.

Be careful with your advice. A jcop reading 'make a few gags' may start getting even more dangerous ideas.

Now you know why I always wear trousers ! ;-)

. . . Well @least she was 41 and not 10 yrs old. What's up with all these "loser" cops here?

Why is this even news anyway? Put it in the not-important news trash along with AKB48.

I'm starting to think that "Crime/J-Police" double column is becoming a necessity again. That is two police perverts in as many days, one being a chief. And I believe there were a couple more during last week as well, no?

Why the arrested him ....?? The end is known .. suspended sentence .

Aha! The police officer wanted to film up the woman's skirt and was arrested. Yes, the police busted another policeman. And the disgraceful policeman ended up having egg on his face. Not only that but the policeman did the police a dishonor. What a farcical incident it is!

next time just ask

Another miscreant policeman. I kind of find it ironic that it says he was ''busted''. He filmed up her skirt not down her blouse. Still, he's just another pathetic cop with too much free time on his hands.

She must be one heckuva 41-yr-old to be worth that arrest

Hahah. I second that.

this is likely only a misdemeanor in any jurisdiction even if it is very annoying to the girls and women involved.

oh well, at least it wasn't a saitama cop this time! And it's just four so far this year, we were at this number in mid March last year so there are improvements!

Komoto san lot of female underwear at lingerie shops to see without the dangers!

The guy should've just gone to the beach in the summertime. Lots of undies there. But for some reason, when you put a skirt over the area, people are suddenly intrigued.

I don't know why someone would go to the trouble of downvoting Jalapeno. That's a very good point. You can see underwear or swimsuits or completely naked people galore just by going to the right place without resorting to this kind of creepy behavior. But as soon as you cover it up a little, creeps gotta be creepy. I don't understand it. It's cloth. But I guess part of the point is we don't understand why creeps do their stupid, creepy things.

I find this supremely ironic. A police officer was held until other police could arrest him. Wise up Japan!

Do you have data of any criminal justice courts?

Don't any of these cops have computers at home? Quality by pros would be much better I would think.

I guess this officer didn't have the badge of courage!
