Police officer strangled to death by wife in Chiba

The wife of a police officer was arrested Friday on suspicion of strangling her husband to death. According to police, Eiko Ohashi strangled her husband Kazuo, who was a police sergeant at Chiba West police headquarters, at their home in Yachimata City, and then called police.

For the past year, Kazuo had been on extended leave due to illness, and was under medical care at his home. According to police, Eiko has admitted to strangling her husband, but has given no motive. A police spokesman said authorities are currently investigating the possibility that the woman could have been asked to commit the crime by a third party, but gave no further details on that point.

The guys was on leave under medical care at home. Not quite the same thing. Oh, yeah, and he was murdered. Show a little respect.

some people are just born cold or they either become cold in their lifetime

Due to his time off work I wonder if the guy had some chronic disease or something that prompted his wife to kill him.

It would take a considerable compressive force to strangle an adult male. Not normally the preferred method of murder by woman, unless she's something of an Amazon! So that leaves the possibility of a third party involved. Rip policeman.

I don't think this is terribly different to the stories of exhausted elderly killing their bedridden spouses. The guy was probably unable to put up much of a fight.

A love triangle?

When wife kill's a cop than you can imagine what will be the next. She kills the cop before he could kill her I would say. I don't understand how cop can be so defend less. Any idea? Her admission is perfect for prosecution. Will she hang or playing cards behind the bars for the rest of her life?

Maybe he asked his wife to kill him, maybe he was in great pain and wanted out. Best not to jump to conclusions on why she killed him.

What the hell, she sounds like a loony, I guess the police officer must have been really sick. It sounds like she killed him so she could marry someone else or something.

This is tragic.

Not "some".

Anyone can do anything to anyone at anytime.

Maybe a robber asked her to do it. Those kind of guys cannot be trusted...

Some of these comments are more entertaining than the article. "A love triangle?" - "An Amazon?" - "Asked his wife to kill him?" - "She killed him before he killed her?" - And, my personal favorite "I wonder if the guy had some chronic disease or something that prompted his wife to kill him." (as stated in the article)

No, no, many Japanese have cancer, this sounds like your typical Japanese cancer patient, and he may just wanted to get it over and done with, so he asked his wife to put him out of his miseries.

If someone loves and respect his wife, he will never ask her to kill, because he can imagine what it would mean later...

Does nobody teach in Japan that it is not so nice to kill living 'things'?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

They don't teach that in the USA, the UK, Europe, Africa, Australia or the Latin States...hmmm, nor do they in the Middle east, Egypt, Russia the Koreas, China...hmmm I know I'm missing a number of other countries where they don't teach that....Man Japan is screwed up!

but if she did murder him ,Blackops, were right in thinking you want her killed too?

So far I'm in agreement with Disillusioned. The speculation is more entertaining. That's why I come here.

There is a lot of stress for wives of J-cops. Depending on their department, some are told to go to sex shops with their seniors. They cant refuse this or they will lose their chance to be promoted. They also pull 23 hour shifts (with pay). and if they live in the police dorm, there is great competitions between the wives of the j-cops. sometimes wives are silently threatened NOT to divorce by the department.

I really would not be surprised to see any other of the j-cop's wife snap like this. It is a horrible position.

Do you make this twaddle up yourself, or are you recalling the plot-line of a third-rate TV drama??

If the cop was that sick, it is mercy killing maybe? Tragic in any case.

Why do almost all Japanese, after committing a heinous crime, turn themselves in? If you know you're going to feel guilty about it afterwards, don't commit the crime in the first place and save yourself and the victim(s) a lot of pain and heartache. Japanese don't seem to be able to think ahead. They just act on impulse.
