Prison guard arrested for filming up woman's skirt

Hyogo prefectural police said Sunday they have arrested a 39-year-old prison guard on suspicion of filming up a woman's skirt on an escalator at a train station in Kobe.

According to police, the suspect, Hideaki Matsushita, used his smartphone camera to film up a 29-year-old woman's skirt at JR Sannomiya Station at around 7 p.m. Saturday, Sankei Shimbun reported.

A police officer at the station noticed Matsushita acting suspiciously and detained him.

Matsushita, who works as a guard at a Kobe correctional facility, has admitted to the charge and was quoted by police as saying he did it to ease his stress.

If the prison guard would be ruled guilty and end up in prison, it would be disgraceful for him. At any rate, were there any decent ways to ease his stress?

The 'stress' excuse is the new 'I was drunk'.

What is it with Japanese men and women's knickers?

Stupid. You've got a smartphone with internet access.

He obviously works at a men's prison. Otherwise he could've killed 2 birds w/ the same stone so to speak. But in all seriousness, why am I not surprised by the antics of yet another perv.

Because he was "stressed." There's a lot of other things you could do to relieve stress. Go to the park, feed the birds and squirrels, go on a run or just hang out in a coffee shop. I never understood the fascination with upskirt stuff. If he wanted porn that much it's all free online.

Seriously, all one has to do is surf the internet for their kicks. Plus Japan also has Soaplands and "massage" parlors. Really?

Meaning that he didnt think anything was wrong with taking the pictures as any normal person would feel a whole hell of a lot of stress doing something illegal or immoral.

I really want to see a follow up on this article, to see just what happens. Willing to bet he loses his job, to the cops though this is a misdemeanor offense and as possibly a first offense for him, a slap on the wrists.

Do these men in uniform have a file-sharing website for this activity? Wouldn't be surprised.

When looking for the pokemans goes bad... but in all seriousness I'm sad to hear this happened in my city.

Some of these perps have probably watched a few too many JAV videos and can't tell the real world from the one portrayed in them.

Japan has way too many escalators. Maybe they should build more elevators to stop these predators.

I would go fishing and bring along a six pack on ice if I were stressed. Different strokes for different folks I guess.

First time I heard that for a reason.

Seriously there are a lot of things to relive stress, especially in Japan where you could do alot of things. Sit back and watch a movie, play videogames, go to parks, watch some live concert. Even just watching someone play at a game centre is entertaining enough.

If he has a daughter (I highly doubt it though) and her daughter becomes a victim of this, what would he feel? He should have think, before doing it.

Morality in this country truly sucks

Are you going to do.get rid of stairs as well? As if everyone leaving a train station is going to sit and wait, and wait, and wait for an elevator.
