Sounds like she needs some mental health care!

This was predicatable. Just kicking the car probably will only get her a fine and a warning. Who would even bother building a case against her anyway. Considered this a lesson.

Onitsuka toxicology screen come up with nothing and was asked to give an informal apology….or toxicology screen came up with something and she is working with police to root out the things that made her friend “unwell”. I want to say more the former and less the latter.

There's no tolerance for emotional thunderstorms, yet the humid, energy sapping passive aggressive drizzle that foments them continues unchallenged and unabated.

'She told police at the time she kicked the vehicle "after a passer-by said something unpleasant, making me panic," according to the Metropolitan Police Department.'
Maybe she should have gotten in it herself and asked them to take her to the nearest clinic for some Lorazepam or something. I mean, I can understand kicking it if it took a few hours and then they said no hospitals would take her friend because it was a Sunday and so they'll just hold his/her hand for a bit, but still.

Why was this "news" in the first place?

Perhaps the ‘siren’ upset her ?
Seems ‘odd’ but some Japanese have advised to avoid making any abrupt noise as it could possible ‘mentally upset’ those around you.
And. NEVER, EVER, use the car’s klaxon as it cause others to abruptly careen into oncoming traffic, regardless of who has the right-of-way. Also, cautioned the klaxon blower could be cited by police, at least, for being a nuisance, resulting in an accident.borscht
kicking an ambulance will hardly cause it any damage. I wonder who called the cops?

The "vandalism" was kicking an ambulance, which probably hurt her leg more than the ambulace. Ridiculous brouhaha about nothing.

You’re underestimating the greed of Japanese prosecutors hungry for additional points for their performance evaluation and promotion.

I've been in a lot of situations, some of which got me run in, and at no time did I ever want to KICK an Ambulance due to panic....it's "Japan".

It has taken these prosecutors (bureaucrats) nearly two months to make a decision. Well, I suppose kicking an ambulance is such a heinous crime. The Japanese justice system at it's best, yet again.

If somebody lipped off to her, why did she take it out on an ambulance? Dumb dumb DUMB.

Com'n, she only kicked an ambulance and it's big news? I guess nitpicking what celebrities do is the thing. I thought there was going to be something more compelling in the incident. Wasted a minute of my life.
