Sounds like he is guilty and if so should be prosecuted and punished, but what happened to the investigation into the dodgy land deal? Who authorised it and why? That all went very quiet didn't it. I hope he is able to take a few down with him, including you-know-who.

Is there anyone here who thinks he won't get a suspended sentence, if it ever even goes to trial?

well, so much for this one visiting  island of Okinoshima where women are banned, despite it being 2017, as he is impure.

Once Abe's best friend, now is being grilled. This is much more about japanese well known mafias. It's a shame a country being guided by such criminals...

He's being charged for receiving the money? How about looking further up the ladder to the goons that approved all his funds and land deals?

If he's found guilty, then by implication anyone else involved with the same funds must also be guilty of a Crime and thus also be brought to Justice.

Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's wife Akie had served as the planned school's honorary principle at one point.

Surely you mean principal?

(Everyone knows the Abes don't have any principles to begin with.)

He might be guilty and the trial (if not biased) will clear things up but I am certainly not the only one to think justice here is running more for the LDP than for the good of the country and their citizen.

Educator,

Fair enough. But I still say it went very quiet, having been in the headlines every day to never getting a mention any more. Let's hope the investigation is concluded satisfactorily.

@thee:trial procedures usually handled quietly.  If you want details, later, buy weekly gossip magazines.  Why quietly?  Don't you know big mouth attorneys talk too much driing trials in order to lose his case.
