Endless corruption, endlessly.
His job is to keep the filth away from Shinzo. Expect a couple of suicides in Hiroshima before it's all slushed away...

Why even bother? We all know that a suspended sentence is a foregone conclusion.

2 words - suspended sentence.

Two years, suspended. Guarantee it.

News are getting to complicated for me to follow.
This has anything to do with Abe trying to keep Kurokawa in the prosecution office?

Up to 10 million Yen in illegal contributions: small change compared to what the Nuclear Power Utilities use for their brown envelopes, Blue Chip companies use for their accountants and auditors, PR companies use for sports events.....the list goes on. Justice must be 'seen' to be done....

How come Mr Kawai is not incarcerated down at his local koban or in a detention center?

@kurispisu
Because he is not a flight risk.

Chief prosecutor prosecuted but best friends with Abe so nothing will happen.

No need for detention in this case.
He is a Japanese lawmaker , so there is absolutely no way that he would destroy evidence or conspire with his co conspirator wife.
I could be wrong, though.

will be detained like Ghosn was - highly dobt it

LDP Shredders probably running already since days destroying all evidence as usual. Welcome to Kurokawa Paradise where Prosecutors make sure Abe's friends get no or if really unavoidable the lightest punishment (and a nice retirement package added)

Buy a beach house mansion in Croatia and stay there for a few months. Come back and carry on as usual.
