Police in Tokyo's Nakano Ward said Friday they have arrested the manager of a ramen restaurant on a charge of indecent assault after he forcibly kissed a woman.

According to police, the suspect, identified as Yuki Yoshimori, harassed the woman in her 20s as she walked home on the night of June 10, Fuji TV reported.

Police quoted Yoshimori as saying that he saw the woman in a convenience store and couldn't control himself. He said he asked her to go out with him and to kiss him. When she refused, he followed her and forcibly kissed her, police said.

"he saw the woman in a convenience store and couldn’t control himself..."

I'll bet the woman is a real head-turner, especially for him! Every now and then, I see a real head-turner and there's no way for me not to turn my head to look, but at least so far I have ALWAYS been able to muster enough self-control not to do anything other than to look...

"... He said he asked her to go out with him and to kiss him. When she refused, he followed her and forcibly kissed her"

Sorry, that's a no-no, he must be punished for his lack of self control! I'd like to hear from the JT female posters - what say you???

He was buying a pedophilic themed comic and she fit the bill, he knew she was asking for it. Little did he know, he was proving his anti -social behaviour. And vile behaviour.

He should have used his noodle before doing anything rash. He was probably singing ''ramen, soumen, boku ikemen'' before doing the deed.

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

Yeah, he did not use his noodle, in fact he probably IS a noodle. Still a serious offense. The woman must have felt sick and still does when she remembers the assault.

Then you read articles about Japanese men not being aggressive enough nowadays and how many remain virgins well into their 20s or 30s.

This guy was the manager of a ramen shop! He must have had a noodle brain from consuming to many noodles why force yourself on someone!

What does the ramen shop have to do with anything?

It just separates him from all the other weirdos who are unemployed and of no-fixed address.

I once saw a woman who was so beautiful I couldn't look away as she approached, so I apologized, She was really cool about it and said "That's okay".

This is NOT a small crime. This is someone who thinks he is entitled to women's bodies. I would not be surprised if they looked into his past and found he'd been involved in other sexual assaults. Men like this don't respect women's bodily integrity. For that matter, a lot of men do respect women's right to be in a public space without being hit on. Some guys just do not seem to realize how intrusive, rude, and presumptuous it is to just go up to women on the street and ask them for phone numbers. What about our right to privacy? If I'm out socializing, I expect people to come up and talk to me, to flirt, to show interest. But when I'm trying to pay my bills, in a rush to work, meeting a friend? No, guys- I'm not going to be interested in talking to you, a random stranger, who may or may not even be a nice person. For all I know, you could even be like Ramen Man up there, so you'll have to just excuse me for not "appreciating the compliment".

Well, he's been named and shamed so he might have to kiss his ramen shop goodbye.

I guess she didn't know her ramen came with a free kiss on the side.

The woman should have asked him if he wants to have a punch in his face, and when he said "no", she should have forcibly punched him in his face...or better somewhere else.

Bet he smelled like ramen and beer, too. Poor lady.

Once a guy approached me and suddenly reached out and tried to touch my face. I whacked his hand away and he ran off. Police said they'd gotten reports about him before and he usually tries to put his fingers in women's mouths. Ugh ugh ugh if you want people to like you that is NOT the way. I felt shell-shocked by the incident and for a while was so afraid to leave my house. I hope this lady recovers emotionally ok.

Hahaa, I can understand the attraction as Japanese women are soooo elegant. But there is no excuse for that kind of behaviour and ultimately disrespect! How would he like if somebody forced unwanted attention on him? We all deserve to be respected..except him!
