I used to work in both quite a lot, and I didn't know that. But I also didn't know there was such demand for cocaine in Japan.

When I was in the service stationed in Orlando, FLA. I was on a roving security watch and me and my partner were alerted about a stash in a certain dorm room by a roommate. Before the shipment is offloaded isn't it common to have customs check the contents before it is actually offloaded? Meaning, if someone offloads a shipment of cocaine, then isn't the boat/captain that is offloading the cocaine instant suspect?

It's not economically viable to check every container in every shipment in busy ports like Kobe. Spot checks are conducted, but every container is not gone through.
