How can you convict someone of murder, if you can't even prove the deceased was murdered???

the fact that the victim was in the hospital (i.e. not bothering the wife or son or son's colleague) makes me wonder what their motivation was. There is no mention of an insurance payoff.

Not enough information given in the article in order to pass judgement. If premeditated murder is proven though, it should be life in prison with no possibility of parole.
