The 5-star Ritz-Carlton Tokyo hotel received a bomb threat on Thursday morning, police said.
According to police, a man speaking rudimentary Japanese called the hotel at around 10 a.m. and said he had placed a bomb on one of the guest floors, Fuji TV reported. All guests were evacuated for about 90 minutes while police searched the floors but no explosive device was found.
Police said the caller, if found, faces a charge of forcible obstruction of business.
Christmas eve is one of the busiest days of the year for the hotel industry.

That's not very nice, spoiling the guests' Christmas like that.

Please, do not let it let this happen during a Public Holiday again. It's Christmas & 2016 is just very near.

Probably one of those saddoes, who doesn't like it as he doesn't have a date.

@Alistair my thoughts exactly.

Surely it can't have been that rudimentary if he managed to convey the message that there was a bomb on one of the guest floors over the phone? I don't remember seeing that kind of vocabulary in Japanese for Busy People or Minna no Nihongo.

Does rudimentary mean he had an accent? Was he waving his pointer finger back and forth while expressing his bomb thoughts?
Who does not like christmas should be the way to start the investigation. I don't like it but leave me out of it.
