That's ironic, the safe was probably worth more than its contents.

Ninja suspected?

Were all the Ninja on a holiday or something? I thought they normally hide under the floor or clinging onto ceilings...

@cricky, I have to agree. That's not much money.

But it looks dramatic when printed in English...

been there well over 10 times. Hands down my favorite museum ever. What is interesting is that the artifacts there are probably worth ALOT more than the money stolen.

How can some disappear with 150 kgs to lift within minutes ?

Not from a ninja but from supermen.

I bet the thieves are now afraid of every slight rustle of leaves, squeak of floorboards and movement out of the corner of their eyes.

A few minutes later, police found the entrance of the museum's office forced open with a tool believed to be a crowbar,

Doesn’t seem like Ninja style!!!

50 x 50 does not weigh 150 kilos, I've seen these costco safes, they are 30 kilos at max and easily picked up and walked away with.

Please tell us how you know so much about this particular safe? Have other news sources mentioned that it was indeed a Costco safe?

Inside job, most likely how else would they know which tiles to step on to avoid tripping the darts flying from the walls? The swinging axe that drops from the ceiling, also the two automated samurai statues that are unkillable. Then there is the viper pit? Definitely inside job.

No doubt keeping the goods at a "safe" house.....I'm here all week, try the veal.

I think the irony is pretty funny. How stealthy could the person/people have been carrying out a safe? and were all the ninjas sleeping on the job?

Not a safe but a safety deposit box?

I am also thinking its a (covid 19) inside job.

A 50X50X50 cm safe is no more than 40Kg. It is the 50X50X120 cm that is 150Kg.

Inside job by one of their less intelligent staff I suspect. They had to get in and out quickly, they know to go directly to the safe, and were prepared to lift it and abscond with it. All in short order. Probably brought a dolly.

However, they had to be either dumb or desperate to do all that for a million yen.

Stealthy.
