Saitama cop arrested for trying to steal woman’s underwear on Twilight Express

A 37-year-old police detective was arrested for attempted theft on Sunday, after he allegedly tried to steal a woman’s underwear from a room aboard the Twilight Express, a sleeper train traveling from Sapporo to Osaka.

Keisuke Noda, an assistant inspector at Omiya police station in Saitama Prefecture, is accused of entering a staff room aboard the overnight express just before 6 a.m. Sunday, in which a female employee was sleeping. The woman woke up to find Noda going through her luggage and holding a pair of her panties. She called out to him, and he fled the room, but she chased after him. Noda was handed over to police when the train stopped at JR Toyama station.

Noda initially told police in Toyama that he was a part-time employee at a convenience store, but his identity was confirmed from his driving license and a call to his family. Noda had taken holiday leave from Sept 5 to 8, and was traveling by himself. He has admitted to the allegations.l

I think this Officer should be fired. Some little things are so dumb, that it would be bad for the safety and morals of a department in keep such an individual on the force. There was a Police Officer in America who got fired for sealing a Donnut from a Donnut shop, seems like these are similar incidence. He'll prabably just say sorry and the pervert keeps his job.

Caught red-panty-handed!

I like to think that I've got both a healthy libido and a fertile imagination. And yet, I cannot fathom how a man can get his rocks off stealing a woman's skivvies. It does indeed take all types to make this world go round.

Nah, he was drunk or simply couldn't resist the urge.

What is it with people and underwear? I don't get it. I mean it is just a piece of clothing, it wasn't even on the person at the time. I am puzzled...

Why?...........Why?...I mean..Why?

Cute.

When I read articles like this there is only one word that comes to mind. Pathetic!

God damn I hate cops

Panty Raid on the Twilight Express

Can't get no satisfaction in Saitama.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Well, he was an Inspector after all. Maybe he was just inspecting them... :)

Lots of pantie raids in Japan.

Ah, the nation's finest.... Where do they recruit these people?

Wow sounds like a Japanese TV show, this guy is a sicko

Saitama. Home of sax-playing flashers, gropers and upskirt photographers.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

and we're to expect these guys to protect us? HA!

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Is it any wonder that these detectives can only catch criminals when they turn themselves in?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

I'm gonna think twice the next time a policeman tries to shake my hand. I feel sorry for the female victims who run to the cops for assistance.

He was probably undercover just "sniffing around" for clues...

JT, time for a thread about which crimes JT readers find the most unusual or bizarre in Japan. I for one, don't understand this mania for stealing stranger's underwear.

Mittsu

The guy is driven by a fetish, just as others are driven by their fetish to steal shoes, lingerie or whatever. Using those objects is the only way they can get sexual gratification. But they need the thrill of stealing it because that heightens the gratification.

Loser

Imagine that shock to his wife when she found her husband (a person who is supposed to protect people) is a perv. Surprised he didn't use the drunk excuse.

Creepy textbook case right there, though I never would have imagined a cop doing it. Didn't they make vending machines for people like this? Or shops with used panties? I know I've heard of them.

All this 37 year old young man needs is just a normal relationship with a real woman. Low self-esteem and fear of commitment added with the overload of cheap, artificial ways to satisy the sexual desires is not good enough. Why can't he go out and befriend someone. In Japan, I find the Omatsuri's to be great opportunity for people to make friends.

Or maybe he's just plain nuts. "All he needs" is probably an under assessment of the his mentality.

37 and trying to steal panties SMH

Make friends at an Omatsuri? you must be pretty outgoing.....

0 ( +0 / -0 )

being an over night trip perhaps the officer had forgotten to pack a spare pair and had an accident.

Didn't a cop just a week and a half ago get caught feeling up a woman's panties on her balcony?

What's with the J-cops these days? They're getting worse than normal.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

hahahahahahahahahahahaha, j-cops, never change.

Must have been looking for idease that could lead him to make a breakthrough catch of Ishihashi?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Obviously looking for clues or evidence leading to solving a bigger crime, on second thoughts maybe not as it's Japan after all. I've heard or read somewhere that stealing ladies underwear from clothes lines is a big thing in J even tatty old ones go missing I believe... obviously a fetish of some sort.

I see Saitama is back in the news again. I wonder what would happen to this guy

0 ( +0 / -0 )

again, who's gonna protect us from the police ?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Can't wait for the movie..."Shita-gi-O-mawari-Dorobo"

0 ( +0 / -0 )

I just makes me so angry that they get arrested for stupidities like that whilst those committing real crimes get away with it.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Well foxie, if the cops are out stealing panties it is only natural that people committing REAL CRIMES get away.....

0 ( +0 / -0 )

People shouldn't be so quick to get mad at this individual. He might have been following Japanese Police Department Handbook Policy.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

That guy is such a moron, everyone knows there is no value in freshly laundered panties......

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Lingeriesatsu.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Maybe they need to have more vending machines with soiled panties so that these poor guys don't have to go around stealing from poor unsuspecting women....... or they should just issue each cop a few pairs of ladies underwear instead of a gun ..

I can see some business opportunity here. Im gonna open used ladies' undies for men shop. Like they have for recycle shops. Inventory would be easy to obtain. Just buy new undies and have them worn by girl volunteers and sometimes men(after all, customers will not know who wore it). Then let them return them unwashed so that I can display in my shop. Business plan development is still in progress. Anyone with any suggestion is much welcomed.

Bad Benny Hill skit, knickers and all. Being a cop makes even more so. (Cue "Yakety Sax" as he runs off.)

Feekalmatter said: ' Can't wait for the movie..."Shita-gi-O-mawari-Dorobo" '

I wonder if they will really make the film 'Shita-gi-O-mawari-Dorobo'.

Ah, the last train of the day from Kakizaki to Naoetsu, and the cheapest way to get from Niigata to Kyoto - I've taken this train quite a few times. Fortunately I was never assailed by a knicker nicker, though.

SmithinJapan. Yeah. There was a case of a police officer accused of feeling them or something. He denied it. Only witness was her boyfriend.

But I guess cases like this cast a pall over the whole force.

Fetish or no fetish, digging through other people's luggage is way over the line. For a police officer to do it is just terrible.

The risks far outweighed the pleasures in this one

McC72, you just became an instant millionaire. This is the wave of the future for Japan. It would definitely improve the economy and the men would probably be smiling all day long if Japan would incorporate these vending machines or stores to be legal. Hell, you can even let your dog wear them and sell'em afterwards, HA!
