Saitama policeman scratches cars in drunken rage

This behaviour from a 54 year old and a policeman.

The police should follow the example of the US Navy in Japan and ban all drinking after 10pm. Give them a curfew too, then crime will be reduced by the looks of things

Instead of venting it out on other people, he should have scratched his own car ... but then it would lead to more problems at home.

Ah, the keystones at it again! I say they should impose a no-drinking law on police, and add a curfew to boot! All those not on duty must stay at home and cannot drink, or else they have to leave Japan.

When entrusted with a postition of power like that they should be held accountable and made an example of. People make mistakes and hopefully he will learn from his.

My friend back in high school was a hard-core patriot when it came to American cars and I'm ashamed to say I once saw him take a coin out of his pocket and scratch a few Japanese cars out of, well, stupidity basically but as far as he saw it, angst against foreign cars taking sales and jobs from Americans. I wonder how he'd react to watching a story about a Japanese man who scratched up a bunch of (likely) Japanese cars...

Dimwit. How scratching a car solve problems at home (or, Combini, the loss of overpaid US jobs to Japanese workers) escapes me. Like punching the wall out fo frustration - ridiculous. and a cop.

The only time I had a scratched car was when some idiot did it with the tip of an umbrella. I called the police and they could see the person on the security cam, but no luck in to identifying him. The damage went way over 100.000 yen.

Outrage towards what? Scratching a few cars with coin? There is no need for Japanese public to behave ridiculously. The same goes with the curfew for scratching.
