'Sakura Police' grab two more men on obscenity charges

The "Sakura Police" a unit set up last year to stamp out indecent acts and sexual assaults against minors and women, especially on trains, teamed up with police in Setagaya and Adachi wards this week to capture two men on public obscenity charges.

One man, a 33-year-old bar owner from Setagaya, admitted to the charges. He was quoted by police as saying: "When I feel like I want to show myself to a young girl in a school uniform, I can't think of anything else. The urge takes over." The man was arrested for flashing two high school students in May. The students took his photo with their mobile phone and turned it in to police.

The other suspect, a 53-year-old man from Adachi Ward, told police that he was feeling stressed out from work and felt better after flashing girls. According to police, on the evening of June 29, the man bared himself to a woman while in the front seat of his car.

“When I feel like I want to show myself to a young girl in a school uniform, I can’t think of anything else. The urge takes over.”

Think of baseball. It helps. Or think of that bearded fat dude in a sailor uniform or something. Somebody who knows what I am talking about post a link.

“When I feel like I want to show myself to a young girl in a school uniform, I can’t think of anything else. The urge takes over.”

So this guy has done it more than once. 33 year old bar owner from Setagaya. He has been arrested so what is his name?

The real crime here is that more cute women don't do this sort of thing ;).

Jokes aside, this guy doesn't need a prison sentence, he needs therapy otherwise he'll just do his time and come out and do it again because the problem hasn't been solved. Yet another reason that Japan should formally incorporate psychologists into their government systems.

Yup, there's going to be a full jail cell on any given night. Let's see if they register them as sex offenders and put them on a public list - again for the sad joke ... it would be a long list.

Where are the NAMES and Company Names?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

They need to change the name to something a little more intimidating. Who's gonna catch the "hittakuri" criminals? The Bamboo Inspectors?

glad they were "grabbed" and not groped.

Well at the local pool I go to in Setagayaku, the men's changing area is before the women's and it is easy to see in to the men's area. I have seen on a few occasions about 50-ish men changing with full frontal exposure intentionally visible to passing women/girls. WTF?

Klein2,

Sailor Bubba?

The Sakura Police? Weird name. Anyway, glad there are actually police out there catching these pervs and protecting women and children.

The usual 'I am a slave to my urges' excuse. Perhaps there is a small percentage of men who really do have a lack of control due to some biological problem, chemical imbalance or brain malfunction or something but I think the majority of men DO have control and fall into two categories--those who do it for the rush or the thrill and those who do it because they feel a sense of powerlessness or inadequacy.

The Sakura Police? Weird name

Sakura also means fake. So I think that was not real police.

Ya, this is not good men.

Jkanda is correct. These are not legitimate police officers, and as such you can refuse to submit to their attempts at asserting authority. Frankly, any arrest involving them oughtta be thrown out on constitutional grounds. If you're ever presented with the opportunity to be "arrested" by them, here is a guidebook to handle the situation: "Come with me to the koban" - Hun, if I came with you it would not be in a koban. "Show me your ID" - Only if you show me your tatas. "You're under arrest!" - Yeah, and you're my fairy godmother.

Kind of similar to the way public toilets in parks are built here. Where the men go, is fairly visible to see the wee wee just hanging out.

And I agree, these guys need some psychiatric help, not jail time. The heavy hitters, or underwear thieves, they need penitentiary time.

The other suspect, a 53-year-old man from Adachi Ward, told police that he was feeling stressed out from work and felt better after flashing girls.

I think the girls should tell the guy "chichai" and laugh like hell, then this kind of behavior soon would stop.

The one high school girl should have said to the other one with the cell phone camera, "You'll need a zoom function."

Perhaps they should set up a kiosk or some phone link so that potential perpetrators can turn themselves in.

"he was feeling stressed out from work"

Oh, well, all's forgiven then.

jolly good show

"When I feel like I want to show myself to a young girl in a school uniform, I can’t think of anything else. The urge takes over.”

This is what convicted sex offenders, pedophiles, and rapists tell their shrinks and it is also why many sex offenders say there is no 'cure' for them, no rehabilitation scheme that will make them able to control their 'urges.' This un-named (because at 33 he is too young?) flasher needs some serious jail time/monitoring before his flashing turns to something more lethal.

LOL took a photo, I wonder what the identifying process is like. OK cough "yeah that was the one!"

These guys are better off selling everything they own and moving to Cambodia or Thailand. There is a street in PatPong perfect for them (a Japanese street) where these dirtbags can indulge in their psychological problems. I and a date have been flashed a couple of times by wasted salarymen and it was truly one of the saddest most pathetic things I ever saw.

"who do it because they feel a sense of powerlessness or inadequacy."

In fact, I would avoid flashing people because of my sense of powerlessness... and um... inadequacy.

If you go to Youtube, you can see videos of drunken salarymen staggering around. Why doesn't someone just set up a site, find some homeless guy for all the WHOIS information, and put all of these pictures up on the site?

Prosecution? Fugedaboutit. It ain't gonna happen. But get a few of these flashers up there on the web and run with it. Once a few of these guys get turned into wallpaper on computer screens, none of them will be flashing young women carrying phones, which is really... well... all young women in Japan, right?

Site gets sued or shut down? Just have a mirror ready to go, and you are back in business. Host in the US or Hong Kong and never get shut down. Or have a disclaimer saying that all the images are fake. Yeah. right. Why not post locations too? Someone make a google map.

Problem solved in three months. Guaranteed. Punters with real jobs will stop cold. Real perv hard cases will give mountains of evidence to their victims and prosecutors to get put away once and for all.

If someone winds up doing this, I want a JT t-shirt. It's my idea.

Okay more stupid dudes who are to scared to ask women out. Freaken morons!

0 ( +0 / -0 )

So a chick took a picture of a guy and then showed the picture to police and said, "this guy flashed me" or "this guy wazzed in my hair on the train" and then the police somehow found him two months later on a train? Convincing. Date of story: July 12, alleged offence in May. Where's the proof? Where's the investigation? Oh, he admitted... or was he coerced under duress? Maybe arrested and held since May but didn't admit until July 11.

Lots of sickos in this world, Japan, sadly enough is no exception. Now just imagine nutty Japanese showing off their wee wees in Teheran or Saudi Arabia! Off with their heads!
