Increasing awareness about the problem is a start, but what is needed as well is following up on these reported cases, and investigating, and arresting the perpetrators!

Depressing and predictable.
the only positive side is there is actually help lines. Thank you to those who are helping.

Victims of sexual violence in Japan contacted support centers for help on more than 23,000 occasions between April and September, up 15.5 percent from a year earlier, partly due to the impact of the coronavirus pandemic, a cabinet minister said Friday.
im curious what evidence they have to link the increase directly to the pandemic. Just because the increase is during the pandemic does not mean it is because of the pandemic. It could be just a coincidental scapegoat to hide more sinister reasons.

What is needed is REAL support instead of all these NPO’s, groups, .. whose only real concern is to feed themselves. They offer nothing as tangible support.”. Refer here, go there.. we can not do anything, we are so sorry....“ is as far as most of them go. That lack of real support frustrates those needing help more than anything else.
Certainly not all but the vast majority of NPO’s care only about themselves

the families of these victims need to form strong groups and mobs to deal with their nutcrack stalker, sex offender perps. They can always form a quick mob outside any base gate to protest, like in Okinawa etc, so do it for your own people for a change. How about that.

While it is true that more are being victimized during these times, what is a positive about these statistics is that more are finding the strength to talk about these things.

How about not using dating apps and websites. There is no obligation to search there for assaults, or is it? Unbelievable, they walk full of dreams on the highway and then cry, if there really has come a car or a truck.
