Skeletonized body of elderly woman found in wardrobe case

Police in Iwaki, Fukushima Prefecture, have arrested a 53-year-old woman on suspicion of abandoning the body of a woman whose skeletonized remains were found inside a wardrobe case in her house.

An employee of the welfare office contacted police on Tuesday, expressing concern that Masako Anzai had not been seen or heard from for a long time. But no one was home.

On Wednesday, police visited the house and were told by Anzai's daughter Michiyo that her mother wasn’t home. However, police searched the house and found the remains.

Police said Anzai has admitted that the remains are those of her mother Masako who she said died of natural causes in September 2016, Fuji TV reported. Anzai said she had kept the body in the house because she didn’t know what to do.

She didn't know what to do? BS! I bet she knew enough to keep collecting her pension for 2 years. Call someone, or city hall for that matter. You could get information and assistance.
