Suspect arrested after driving his car into man in Miyagi

Police in Osaki City, Miyagi Prefecture, have arrested an 80-year-old man on suspicion of attempted murder after he drove his car into a man outside his house on Tuesday.

The incident occurred at around 9:30 a.m., NTV reported. According to police, Takashi Hoshi drove his car onto the property of the man in his 30s and hit him. With the man still clinging to the front of the car, Hoshi drove into another car on the property, trying to throw him off. The man suffered minor injuries, including bruises to his knees and back.

Hoshi fled the scene, but police found him in Osaki City about eight hours later.

Police said Hoshi has remained silent and they are questioning the victim about the cause of the trouble between the two men.
