Police in Odawara, Kanagawa Prefecture, said Tuesday they have arrested a 23-year-old man over the death of a 57-year-old man who was found bleeding from a head injury on a street early Sunday morning.
According to police, Masahiro Endo, a self-employed painter, accompanied by a friend, turned himself in at an Odawara police station on Monday afternoon.
According to police, Hideo Komono was found lying on the street at around 4:45 a.m. Sunday, Fuji TV reported. He was taken to hospital but never regained consciousness and died early Monday, police said.
Police said Komono’s car was found outside a nearby convenience store with its engine still running and lights on. Komono was in the store at 4:30 a.m.
Endo is suspected of punching Komono and stomping on his face, police said. He was quoted as saying he hit Komono because of a dispute over his driving manners.
Police said Endo has admitted to attacking Komono. Although the two men only lived two houses apart from each other, Endo said he did not know Komono.

That's correct, Japanese people are for the most part very law abiding.
