A 32-year-old Odawara man has been arrested for the murder of a 48-year-old housewife 9 years ago. The suspect, who has been indentified as Takayuki Yamamoto, was working in the electronic equipment industry at the time of the incident.
According to police, he turned himself in and confessed to the murder of housewife Kyoko Okuno on a street in Atsugi in June 2002. It is alleged that an hour after leaving work, at around 11:30 p.m., he attacked Okuno and strangled her to death.
Yamamoto gave no motive, police said.

I'm glad the perpetrator turned himself in. But the least he could do is to furnish a motive so that there can be some kind of a closure.
