People who are blind thinks that saikawa is a hero ???. This is the worst japanese nissan kabuki, I have watched in japanese operations.

Saikawa is the hero that saved Nissan and Renault from that crook.

The joke of the day on JT! Congrats you win!

Tying up the loose ends?

No worries, Ghosn is innocent - just ask his wife and son who both work hand in hand with Sir Carlos.

The plot thickens...….

This case with Carlos in Japan was a real bad example of poor minded, mean heart Japanese co-workers that use back-stabbing methods because of their jealousy and wanting to take everything that Carlos owe. Why this case is impossible ???. Nissan has all Japanese team that are controllers, top management, accountants and Japanese in every part of their company. Carlos is not god, he cannot have done everything by himself and his foreign assistant. This is Japan , the controls are all in Japanese ( very poor system ) for any company that have a future that claims globalization. Now they are not even arresting saikawa in Nissan that have everything with this case , just because of his birth rights ???. I am very glad that Japan to-day reported abt the real going on in investing Carlos case.

Well on the other hand if he had confessed then he would already be out and soaking up the sun in Copacabana. Not all of us are martyrs.

Maybe, having had to pay exhorberant fines, and exhorberant compensation, which is all part of Japanese sham law, scam law.

Why is Ghosn even staying in Japan?

He is never going to get a free and fair trial. The powers that be have already decided on his guilt. As a 66 year old man, he doesn’t have many years left. He should just escape from Japan to a country without extradition treaties with Japan and enjoy the years he has left.

Yeah right, smart move, show the world you are guilty. He is in Japan because he surrendered his passport and is here to fight the charges.

Japan’s prosecutors are very slow and they check and recheck over and over . Police is the same in Japan. Until they have all the proof they need and you can’t deny anything. I don’t know if Mr Carlos is guilty or not , but all of his supporters are crying about Japanese rules. Well , we are in Japan and even we don’t agree with their system we can’t change it. Next time maybe anyone will be careful when coming to Japan.

Japanese prosecutors do not even play by their own rules.

Japanese judges then just rubber stamp, and don't seem to know the rules.

Who ever heard of bail conditions where a defendant cannot contact their spouse?

If J-japanee judges brains were made of dynamite, it would not be enough to blow an ants balls off.

On what charge?

being the focus of an internal super secret report, handed to Japanese prosecutors.

who couldn't get any admission of guilt or finding a breach of law even using medieval tactics. Now reaching around to get anything anything a parking ticket would help them save face

3 ( +5 / -2 )

Time to arrest him again.

On what charge?

Time to arrest him again.

Big man and small man - all want money. Me too.

The Tokyo prosecutors asking the Swiss for assistance doesn't indicate any crime whatsoever. It's just news about fishing, for anything, anywhere, for something which is actually illegal.

They've finally met a real match.

Japanese prosecutors, at the end of the day, are just bureaucrats. Now they are faced with a real investigation and no forced confession, they have"nt got a clue.

As for Japanese so-called courts, and judges, they are just headless çhickens.

The world would be better if people had to disclose their income and financial transactions publicly. I know, I know we are used to privacy in these matters. But, that is exactly what enables bad behavior and gives the few their privilege over the many. If people had to actually accept responsibility for their actions it would clean up a lot of problems. Operating in an open environment would Ghosn have been able to get away with his activities? [This is mostly a question to think about, not something that will become reality anytime soon.]

@Yubara, finally you posted something worthy of my unquestionable support.

I'll have a fresh green tea, on you.

True. They've finally met a real match. Not the Taro's they're used to who admit to crimes after a few bullying sessions. About damn time!!

yep see Japan if you actually stand up for yourself then those in power cant force their control over you so easily

6 ( +7 / -1 )

Doesn't look good for Carlos. He will be spending his retirement in the slammer.

well if there is irrefutable evidence of his guilt then good riddance, but for Japan to actually seek help from outside Japan should show you that theyre not confident they have the evidence they need for a conviction, you know since a confession hold so much weight in a Japanese court yet that pesky Ghosn wont give them one.

3 ( +7 / -4 )

True. They've finally met a real match.

yep they finally have to do some actual investigating, oh the forced confession is so much easier

6 ( +7 / -1 )

Meanwhile back at the ranch....

They only involved the Swiss because they are bleeding money and its destroying the brand.

You have to be pretty petty to get mad at a dude for having enough money to rent the palace for a wedding.

They would already had enough evidence without going to the Swiss if they had anything of value. Instead they are drawing it out. In the event that they don't find anything related to them they are going to have a hard time defending themselves from his counter-suit based on the involvement of plants within the company determined to supplant external foreign control. They are going to owe their investors even more.

-2 ( +4 / -6 )

It's an international crime. Of course other countries will get involved.

Japanese prosecutors need help from Swiss prosecutors more a cry for help

Lolololololololololoololololololol

So far Ghosen was arrested on a secret internal Nissan report given to prosecutors who arrested him and held in detention, questioned him adnausaum released, him but he can't see his family without court approval and now Japanese Prosecutors need help from Swiss prosecutors because they are way out of their depth and after all this time still obviously can't make a case that is going to stick.

And really he might may have been a very naughty boy or not, but this farce is about face saving not actually justice on any level. Japanese prosecutors need help from Swiss prosecutors more a cry for help.

Mr Ghosn has the right to stay free until proven guilty.

"I’m Italian and I can guarantee you that no one, literally no one will be detained for one year just as a suspect."

I beg to differ.

"Italian police can legally hold suspects for an entire year without official charges."

Back on topic please.

I’m Italian and I can guarantee you that no one, literally no one will be detained for one year just as a suspect.

In my country we have Presumption of innocence for suspects.

He should have been kept on remand.

Ghosn is accused of a "white collar" crime, and is not and has not been accused of any violent crime.

He freedom should be based upon the crime he is accused of, and he was detained far too long, in comparison to the crime he has allegedly committed! For your it's "Let's keep EVERYONE who is rich and famous locked up forever, until they get a chance at trial"

19 ( +22 / -3 )

"Ghosn has been free on bail since April and is now awaiting trial in Japan."

He should have been kept on remand.
