Understood @P.Smith 7am. But, Japan does have the technology. They recently highlighted an app that can tell us in which neighborhood there are ‘noisy children’:

Could this ‘wonder of ingenuity’ be applied for such a proposed “sex offenders list”?

In my 30+ years of teaching in schools in Japan I have witnessed many incidents of this nature. Most of which do not get published. I'm convinced the teaching profession attracts such people in larger numbers than average. Many "resign" so as to not cause the school embarrassment. Where they end up? Probably another school somewhere.

Hopefully he may eventually be jailed but I don't know what the penalties are for "video voyeurism", probably not so severe.

Pfft. Have you seen the plethora of spy cams in the women's baths? They have no chill. Young, old. It's not that fake "get an 18 year old and pretend she's a junior high girl" stuff with all the fun bits covered in mosaic. These are obviously underage.

Still, despite all the available technology and the real need for such a ‘sexual offenders list’, Japan is severely lagging behind many G7 and OECD nations in other important aspects like ‘universal’ education & professional ethics for teaching professionals, their wages, health, welfare, basic human rights, etc. Even with sarcasm, we should always point out the continued hypocrisies and ineptitude of policy makers that have left the people of this once great country suffering to now, for future generation to suffer even more.

The janitor at my present school does a sweep of the bathrooms first thing every morning. These are the times we are living in.

Well, in this case you can’t even say anything, because a pampered minority is involved.

If this guy leaves of his own accord or not, this should be on his work record PERMINANTLY! so which ever school he goes to, each and every governor and employment commits will see this.
