Sixty Rolex watches, worth approximately 40 million yen in total, were stolen from the Daimaru department store in Kobe City on Tuesday, police said. A store employee discovered a smashed showcase in the watches section of the eighth floor when he came to work just after 9 a.m., and called police.

According to Ikuta police, there was a hole in the wall of the eighth floor, leading to an emergency passageway and fire escape. A crowbar and rope were found on the scene.

It's a race against the clock to find out where these goods will be fenced.

this ticks me off. didnt the alarm go off? no watchmen or snooze on the job? robbers must have been strap-ped for cash, sounds like they planned the job in minute detail, it went like clockwork.
