Three men have been arrested in connection with the murder of a Japanese businessman in a hotel room, Malaysia's Star newspaper reported Friday. Ampang Assistant Commissioner Amiruddin said the three suspects, identified by police only as Africans, had been arrested at a nearby house following a tip-off.
The murdered man was found bound and gagged along with another Japanese man in their hotel room in the Ampang district near Kuala Lumpur on Monday afternoon. The dead man had been beaten about the head, while the second man was taken to hospital with minor injuries. He was discharged from hospital on Thursday, police said.
The Star reported that the Japanese men, both in their 50s, are believed to be jewelers who arrived in Malaysia on a business trip on Aug 20.© Japan Today
