Three men robbed a McDonald's outlet of approximately 2 million yen in Hamamatsu, Shizuoka Prefecture, on Tuesday morning.
According to police, three men came into the McDonald's store in Chuo Ward at 3:15 a.m. and threatened the staff behind the counter with knives, NTV reported. They demanded money from the register and the safe in the office and then fled with about 2 million yen, police said.
McDonald's said the store is open 24 hours a day and that there were five staff and three customers there at the time of the robbery. Nobody was hurt, police said.
The three thieves were all wearing white masks and dressed in black, police said.

That brings a new meaning to "mac job".
Jokings aside, I hope they are caught soon. Hamamatsu is too close for comfort.

I remember back home drive-thrus stayed open all night but the restaurants stayed closed for this reason. I was surprised when I went to the local McDonald's recently at 2am and people were inside eating.

I'm glad no one got hurt. Hope they can find some evidence.
I would have gotten at least one of them with some hot fry grease.

wasn't there a McD's some where here that was going to train its staff to throw sticky tracking devices or something at robbers?

McDonald revenue is falling and now the company's accountant has to mend McD's account minus 2 millions Yen. I do not understand why today Japanese are looking for quick bucks instead of seeking any available job. The changing attitude of generation is danger to future of Japan.

Seem to remeber another MacD's being robbed recently for similar amount. Sems like they make a lot of money in a day. also, seems like this gang may have worked out is is a soft touch for a decent haul.
