Three policemen carrying out an inspection on an expressway in Tokyo's Setagaya Ward were injured in a hit-and-run incident, police said Saturday.
According to Sankei Shimbun, a group of 13 officers were carrying out an inspection at Matsubara at around 11 p.m. on Friday night when a white sedan plowed into three of the officers, and kept going. Police say all three men sustained injuries, but that none of the injuries is life-threatening.
Police are currently searching for the whereabouts of the driver of the white sedan. Police say the car was leaving Shinjuku and headed toward Chofu following the collision, Sankei reported.© Japan Today
