Tires on five cars in a parking lot in Kasukabe, Saitama Prefecture, were punctured on Sunday. It's the latest in a series of similar acts of vandalism this year, police said Monday.
According to police, the tires were punctured by a sharp blade sometime early Sunday morning, Fuji TV reported. On July 17 and July 19, in another parking lot, tires on 15 cars were punctured in the same way.
Police said that since the end of last December, more than 100 cars in parking lots in Kasukabe have had their tires punctured and that they are examining street surveillance camera footage to try and identify the person or persons responsible.

I remember a series of car window smashings in NY that turned out to be caused by the owner of a car window repair shop.

It's a wheel bummer when you're flat out and under the pump. It's easy to get jacked off. Just brace yourself and roll with it. I bet the culprit(s) need their ego inflated.

I don't live in Saitama, but somebody let two of my car's tires down a few weeks ago. They didn't puncture the tires. They just let the air out of them. Of course, I have an air pump and was able to inflate them easily. I guess it could have been worse, but they are still annoying little punks!

when they catch these punks, make them pay for all of the tyres that have been damaged, even if this means new tyres, call out charges, and then give compensation to the car owners for inconvenienced they have caused and then fine them on top. that should give them something to think about.

there was a tire shop owner a few years ago arrested for the same thing in I think, Nagano.

If it's a kid, have him pay for the damages and a fine. If it is an adult, let him think about it in jail for about a month plus damages paid.
