Two men arrested for attempted murder after bar fight Osaka last week


Police in Osaka have arrested two men on suspicion of attempted murder after they stabbed two other men during a bar fight in Minami, Osaka, on May 18. A third suspect is also being sought by police.

The incident occurred at around 1:10 a.m. at a bar on the second floor of a building in Chuo Ward, Sankei Shimbun reported. A bar employee called 110.

Police said one man in his 20s was stabbed in the buttocks, while a second man in his 20s was stabbed in the chest. They were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Bar employees said the victims were attacked by three other men who all fled after the incident. 

On Thursday, police arrested Tatsuki Fujita, 20, who is unemployed, and Kento Moriyasu, 21, a demolition worker. Fujita was accompanied by an acquaintance when he turned himself in.  

Police said the victims and the suspects knew each other, although they were not sitting together at the bar prior to the attack.
